Senate 150 Medal awarded to Dr. Hellen Christodoulou for contribution in engineering and infrastructure

Ottawa, November 29, 2017 – Today, Senator Rosa Galvez (Quebec – Bedford) awarded Dr. Hellen Christodoulou from Montreal, QC, with the Senate 150 Medal in a ceremony in the Senate Chamber. The Senate 150 Medals are awarded by Senators to Canadians whose generosity, dedication, volunteerism and hard work make their communities a better place.

Dr. Christodoulou has over 35 years of experience in conceptualization, design, rehabilitation and supervision of bridges in Canada and the United States. She is an expert in forensic analysis of bridges and large infrastructure projects. She is currently the Regional Director for Quebec for the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction.

Along with Dr. Christodoulou, Senator Galvez nominated Dr. Catalina Lopez-Correa (Vancouver, BC) and Dr. Serge Leroueil (Quebec, QC) for their exceptional contribution to science and engineering in Canada.
